The third phase of lockdown is going on in India, while the fourth phase will start from May 18.

Meanwhile, the Indian government will formulate new rules, which will be followed in lockdown 4.

Regarding this, BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal has said that,

If the government relaxes the rules after May 18, then players will be able to do skill-based outdoor training.

Talking about the return of the Games, on Thursday Arun Dhumal has said,

“Yes, the BCCI is exploring options to see how our players can start their skill-based outdoor training, provided that the central government issues favorable guidelines after May 18″

Taking this matter further, he has said that players can at least start net sessions.

The BCCI official has said,

“Until the players can travel, we are looking at options to see if they can start their skill based training near their residences.

BCCI is constantly in touch with the government and they have a roadmap ready for players after the lockdown phase.

At this time, players are having difficulty in doing their natural exercises, because no one has a big field.

It is believed that the players will get a chance to practice on the local ground, where a batsman will get three net bowlers.

Currently all the players are sweating based on the fitness chart, but they are not fully trained.

Talking about the big players, only Mohammed Shami has a full size cricket ground in his village, from where he can run.

Most of the players are in metro cities and in such a situation, they will have to come out for practice.

Arun Dhumal has said that,

“We (BCCI) have launched an app for the players, through which they can talk to the team’s fitness coach Nick Webb and follow their given training chart”

Also, there are old videos of players in this app from which they can learn. Dhumal has said,

“Players are using this app for training purposes. All senior players and support staff have this app.”

The treasurer of the board has also said that,

Until the conditions become normal, the BCCI will not organize any camp for the players.

He said, “The safety and health of the players is paramount for them. We will not start any training camp anywhere as long as the tour activities are banned.”

At the same time, will there be Covid-19 Tests of the players? In response to this question, he has said that,

From the first day all the players are at home and they are following social distancing.

There is no need to conduct a Covid-19 test in this situation.
