Australian players have no problem to play in IPL: Mitchell Starc

Fast bowler Mitchell Starc has said on Tuesday that he would have no problem if the players decide to take part in the Indian Premier League in the opening round of Australia’s domestic season.

Australia has to host the T20 World Cup in October and November this year.

However, the tournament may be postponed due to the coronavirus.

In such a situation, there are more chances of IPL to be held in October and November.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, i.e, BCCI, is looking for the October-November window for the 13th season of IPL

But for this the ICC will have to decide to postpone the T20 World Cup 2020.

Cricket.com quoted on the behalf of Mitchell Starc

“Should I have any problem? I don’t think so. Players already have existing contracts.

There are a lot of things that I think will have to be seen.

“Cricket Australia has to clear those players so that if they are clear to go, then I have no problem with that. ”

He adds,

“They have pre-existing contracts and they will be playing anyway. There is clearly a different barrier to domestic cricket.

It will be an interesting decision, not what I have to do, so I can give them a decision. ”

Last year, Mitchell Starc decided to opt out of the IPL 2020 by saying,

Cricket coming back in Australia, first match to be played on June 6

He would not have to worry about the T20 tournament, as he did not have a contract.

Mitchell Starc has said,

“I will consider it, I’ll think about it. Obviously it will be right around the beginning of our domestic season.

It would be worth considering, but I don’t currently have any contracts. , So I don’t need to worry at present.

” However, at present, cricket is completely braced.

Australian players require clearance from the CA to play in domestic leagues abroad.

Australian Cricketers are generally allowed for the IPL, as it is held during the off-season, but this time it is starting with the home season of Australia.
