BCCI preparing to form two teams to make up for losses; One team will play Test, second T20

Cricket is at a complete standstill due to Coronavirus. The T20 League IPL has also been postponed indefinitely by BCCI.

In such a situation, the board is planning to compensate for the loss by playing more matches in less time.

Accordingly, two separate teams will be formed for the Test and T20 series. Both will play the series together.

In such a manner, more and more matches can be played in less time.

A board official said,

“Nobody knows when the game will start. From sponsors to fans, we all have to keep in mind. In such a scenario, we have to make two teams, who can play Test series and T20 series simultaneously.

Broadcaster interests have to be taken into consideration

If the BCCI has to take into account the interests of the broadcaster, it will have to form two teams.

There will be Test matches on the day and T20 matches will be held in Flood Light.

But before forming two teams, the coaching staff will also have to work because a coaching staff will not be able to work at two places.

The Australian team has done this before. After playing a T20 match with Sri Lanka in Adelaide on 22 February 2017, the team made their Test debut in Pune on 23 February.

Rajiv Shukla may become the vice president of BCCI, Mahim Verma resigned and left the post

For this, two different teams were formed and Team India can also do something similar.

Indian players will be quarantined on the Australia tour

Team India is scheduled to visit Australia in November-December where the team has to play four Tests. Talks are on to add one more test to the series.

The BCCI has agreed to keep the players quarantined for two weeks for this. In such a situation, all the boards are preparing to play more and more matches in less days to reduce the losses.

If the IPL does not happen, the board is estimated to lose Rs 4 thousand crore.

Chief selector said – BCCI should start the season with T20

Team India’s Chief Selector Sunil Joshi has suggested the BCCI to start the new season with T20.

Recently, such a proposal was made in the meeting of the National Selection Committee video conference.

If the board agrees, Syed Mushtaq Ali may start the season in the T20 tournament starting in August.

According to the selection committee, this will enable the players to prepare for the T20 World Cup.

The World Cup will be held in Australia in October-November. Most international players do not give priority to domestic cricket.

If domestic cricket gets on then in this current situation players will get a chance to practice from the tournament.
