Introduction: Every IPL fan has at least one, fiery debate among friends — “Bro. How can you not have Dhoni as your captain?” or “Kohli at No. 3? You must be kidding.”

So, we figured — why not settle this the fan way?
After hundreds of votes, feuds in WhatsApp groups and with some all out brawls on Twitter, we have finally come up with the All-Time Best IPL XI, voted by fans just like you and I. And spoiler alert — it’s gonna be pretty good
Top Two – The Wrecking Balls:
Chris Gayle (RCB/KXIP) I mean really, who else?
Universe Boss has devoured bowling line-ups, like a cheat code in a video game. With everything from that 175* and the monster sixes, he is the poster boy for destruction.
Rohit Sharma (MI)
Five-time winning IPL captain and just a class act.
While Gayle is explosive, Rohit is the balance of flair. Together, it’s like Batman and Superman as openers in the IPL.
Middle Order – Style and Stability:
3. Virat Kohli (RCB) Yeah, yeah, “No IPL trophy,” but you cannot ignore the guy with most runs in IPL history. He is passion, aggression, consistency and everything in between.
4. AB de Villiers (RCB) Mr 360 – the one guy who can hit a shot that will have a physics teacher shaking their head. All fans remember that one game where he singlehandedly won it from nowhere. That is classic AB.
5. MS Dhoni (CSK)– Captain & Wicketkeeper Who else do you want leading your team and keeping wicket? Cool as a cucumber, deadly in run chases, and a legacy-defining leader of the game. Let’s face it, we have all tried his helicopter shot at some point too.
The Ultimate All-Rounder: 6. Hardik Pandya (MI/GT) Outstanding swag, extravagant sixes, individual ball-hitting brazen decisiveness. He hits long balls, bowls fast, and has some genuine big attitude about him, and the fans love it too.
Andre Russell (KKR) Another beast.Do you need to score 50 runs from 15 balls? No problem. Do you need a yorker that is at 140 km/h? Sure.
Russell is like that cheat code that you wish your team had every year.
Spinners That Spin Matches: 8. Rashid Khan (SRH/GT) Batsmen play him like he’s an alien. He bowls fast, sneaky, clutch — he is the spinner who makes big hitters scared.
Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB/RR) He has swag and premium skill. He has dismissed household names, but he also continues to keep the game interesting, off and on the field. Also his Insta is a meme factory.
Death Bowler’s Dream: 10. Lasith Malinga (MI) Those toes are still hurting and those yorkers have made our day.You will always remember Malinga, and there is no question that Lazith Malinga could be easily one of the greatest death bowlers of all time.
Jasprit Bumrah (MI) A net bowler that quickly became India’s No. 1. Saturdays get better with Jasprit Bumrah on your side. The trust from all fans of cricket relies on Bumrah when the moment is needed. Let’s be honest, we all love the rhythm of Bumrah’s slow run-up and the slingshot action he displays on plane.
Why this XI is different: This team is not just a collection of stats, it is a collection of moments.
That last-ball six by Dhoni vs Punjab. The Gayle 175* carnage. The AB & Kohli 200+ partneships. The Malinga last over, defending 8.
This XI is a collection of memories, goosebumps, heartbreak, and joy. If you are an actual IPL fan then you emotionally lived these all.
Your Turn – Who is missing?Did we forget your favorite player?Would you swap out someone for Suresh Raina or KL Rahul?Or were you hoping that Jadeja would be in it?
