Pakistan National Team have been dethroned as the top ranked T20I team for the first time since January 2018 according to the latest rankings released by ICC on Friday.
According to the latest ranking released by ICC, Australia Cricket has replaced Pakistan to grab the top spot for the first time since the rankings in T20I format has been introduced.
Australia Cricket is standing at 1st Position in ICC T20I rankings with a total point of 278 whereas Pakistan has now dropped to the fourth position with 260 Points.
Afghanistan have further moved down from seventh to 10th. Bulgaria, on the other hand, are the biggest gainers as they moved up 12 places to take the 51st position in the 84-country list of teams that played the requisite six matches in the past three years.
Pakistan Cricket team had performed really well in the shortest format of the game before 2019 but their below-par performance in the last couple of months have caused them to lose the top spot.

Australia on the other hand, have reached to the No.1 spot due to their amazing performance in this format of the game. They secured seven wins in nine matches against Sri Lanka, Pakistan and South Africa which has likewise left them tipped as one of the top choices for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup this year
England stands at 2nd place whereas India is at third position in the rankings.
During last year’s ranking, there were a total 80 teams ranked in the T20I rankings but this year seven new teams have joined the table and those are Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Romania Turkey, France, Isle of Man and Israel.
