2.Big Bash League

The Big Bash League also known as BBL is an Australian professional T20 cricket league, which was started in 2011 by Cricket Australia.
The BBL replaced the previous competition, the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, and features eight city-based franchises instead of the six state teams which had participated previously.
This league has been totally sponsored by famous chicken outlet KFC since its starting.
It is the second T20 cricket league after IPL to feature amongst the top ten domestic sport T20 leagues across the world.
First season of Big Bash League was held in 2011 which was won by Sydney Sixers by defeating Perth Scorchers in the finals.
Till now, BBL has successfully hosted 9 seasons which were won by Sydney Sixers(2011,2019), Brisbane Heat(2012), Perth Scorchers(2013,2014,2016),Sydney Thunder (2015, Adelaide Strikers (2017) and Melbourne Renegades in 2018.
UAE offers to host IPL 13, BCCI is yet to take decision
These matches are played on Australian ground during the winters, in the months of December to February.
Cricket Australia also organises Women’s BBL too which features the Cricketers from Australian Women’s team. WBBL is also famous in the world.
BBL mostly features players from the Australian Cricket team or Players from the Australian Domestic teams only.
This Tournament also runs in the format of Double Round Robin League and Knockout Finals.
Perth Scorchers is the most successful BBL team in terms of titles while Chris Lynn and Ben Laughlin in terms of Most Runs and Wickets respectively.
