Introduction of Mithali Raj –
Mithali raj is an indian cricketer and the captain of the indian women’s national cricket team. A right-passed opening batter, she is often regarded as India’s best woman batter. She is the highest run-scorer in women’s global cricket and the only woman cricketer to surpass the 6,000 run mark in women’s one day International.
Early Life –
Mithali raj born on three december 1982 in a tamil circle of relatives in jodhpur, rajasthan. Her father is dorai raj, who was an airman (warrant officer) in the indian air force, and mom is leela raj. Mithali started out to play the sport at age of 10. She commenced cricket training in her faculty days in conjunction with her elder brother. She practised at college, frequently gambling with male cricketers in the nets.
International Career –
Mithali Raj has played all the three formats of cricket for India’s women’s cricket team. She made her One Day International debut against Ireland in 1999 and scored unbeaten 114 runs. She made her Test debut in the 2001–02 season against South Africa at Lucknow. On 17 August 2002, at the age of only 19, in her third Test, she broke Karen Rolton’s record of world’s highest individual Test score of 209*, scoring a new high of 214.
She is the first Indian women’s team captain who led the team to the finals in the 2005 Women’s Cricket World Cup where the team lost to Australia. She is also a part time bowler.
Records –
1. Mithali held the record for the highest individual score by an Indian Woman Cricketer in a World Cup match (91 not out off 104 deliveries which included 9 fours) during the Women’s World Cup 2005.
2.Mithali is nicknamed “Lady Tendulkar of Indian Women’s cricket”, as she is currently the all-time leading run-scorer for India in all formats, including Tests, ODIs and T20Is.
3.Mithali is the 1st Indian and 5th woman cricketer overall to score over 1k World Cup runs.
4.She holds the record for playing the most consecutive Women’s ODI for a team.

Awards and achievements –
Mithali had won many prestigious awards in her life for her incredible performance in all the three formats of cricket.
She was awarded Arjuna Award in 2003, Padma Shri in 2015, Youth sports Icon of Excellence award and Vogue sportsperson of the year in 2017. She was also included in the BBC list of 100 women’s in 2017.
Her biopic is also scheduled and the lead role will be played by Taapsee Pannu. It will be directed by Rahul Dholakia.
