Tanzania Cricket Association is going to start its annual cricket event Advanced Players Premier League (APL T20) from 8 August, whose final match will be played on 16 August.
A total of 6 teams are going to participate in this league and each team will have a 14 members squad consisting of Tanzania Cricket seniors and Under-19 Cricket players.
Advanced Players Premier League (APL T20) will be played for 9 days at the GymKhana ground in Dar-es-salam.
A total of 84 players are going to participate in this T20 league, out of which a squad of 14 players will be allotted to each participating team.
Tanzania Cricket Association has formed a panel which will select the players, this panel also has the head coach of Tanzania national squad Steve tikolo.

6 teams going to participate in Advanced Players Premier League (APL T20) are Buffalo Blasters, Tembo Stars, Simba Kings, Royal Rhinos, Twica Titans and Chui Challengers. This T20 league will be played in a round-robin group stage format in which each team will play one match with the other before entering the knockout stage.
A total of 19 matches will be played between the teams for 9 days, after which we will get the winner of this season.
In this T20 league, both senior and under-19 players will play together, so the under-19 players will get to learn a lot from their senior players which will be very profitable for them in the coming time.
Tanzania was the last International Cricket team to play a match before the lockdown due to coronavirus and now Tanzania Cricket is making a comeback with the T20 League.
