ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2021 Schedule and Fixture | ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2021 Host and Venues
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is all set to administer the seventh edition of Men’s T20I World Cup from October 17 in the United Arab Emirates and Oman with the BCCI being the hosts of the tournament. It was originally scheduled to be played in 2020 in Australia from 18 October to 15 November but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, ICC postponed it and gave the hosting rights to India. However Australia will host the next edition which is set to be played next year.
The United Arab Emirates and Oman have been chosen as the venues to host the whole tournament considering the number of coronavirus cases in India and the possibility of a third wave of the pandemic in the upcoming months. UAE and Oman will share the preliminary round of the tournament.

Doubts over the participation of Afghanistan Cricket Team
There were some concerns regarding the participation of Afghanistan Cricket Team due to the ongoing Taliban situation in the country and political turmoil but team’s media Manager has confirmed that they will surely participate in the tournament which is a relief for the cricket fans especially in Afghanistan.
Participating Teams and Qualification Method
The top nine ranked teams according to the ICC Men’s T20I rankings alongside hosts India directly qualified for the tournament but only top eight of them qualified for the Super 12 stage of the tournament while last two Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are placed in the group stage of the tournament.
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will join the other six associate teams qualified for the tournament via the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers held in 2019. Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland and Oman are the associate ones to participate in this tournament.

Venues to host the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2021
The tournament will take place at four venues which are Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, the Sharjah Cricket Stadium and the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.
