New Zealand Announces 15 Man squad for T20 World Cup 2024

New Zealand Cricket confirmed their squad for the forthcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the Caribbean and the United Kingdom. Kane Williamson will continue to lead the side, and senior pacer Trent Boult has been included despite withdrawing from the contract list.

Kane Williamson will make his sixth T20 World Cup appearance and fourth as captain, while Tim Southee will make his seventh as the Kiwis look to win their first title in the game’s shortest international format.

The inclusion of most recognized faces, like Tim Southee, Mitchell Santner, Devon Conway, Ish Sodhi, and Matt Henry in the squad was not a huge surprise. A couple of names were missing, including Adam Milne and Tim Seifert, but New Zealand has put their trust in Conway, their only wicketkeeper, who is presently recovering from a hand injury.
