Luxembourg is set to resume International cricket with the T20I Tri-Series in August

The Luxembourg cricket federation is going to start international cricket again in August after a gap of about 4 months with the T20 Tri-Series which will be played between the three countries.

All the activities related to cricket have been closed for the last several months due to coronavirus, which is frustrating for both the Cricket Federations and the fans but now as countries are getting relief from this Virus, cricket is also slowly starting.

Luxembourg will be the first associate cricket board to play international cricket after getting relief from coronavirus.

The Tri-Series will be named as the Luxembourg T20I Trophy in which international teams from the Czech Republic and Belgium will participate.

All the matches of this Tri-Series will be played at the Pierre Warner Cricket Ground in Walferdange from August 28th – 30th, 2020.

BREAKING NEWS! Luxembourg Cricket to host T20 International Tournament vs Belgium and Czechia With the recognition of the ICC, Luxembourg will be hosting full T20i Cricket matches for the first time ever. It will take place in August at the Pierre Werner Cricket Ground in Walferdange. The tournament will be named as the ‘Luxembourg T20i Trophy’ and will be run from August 28-30th if COVID conditions allow. All the matches will be classified as ICC ranking. Currently, these three teams are ranked close together with Czechia at 54, Luxembourg at 58 and Belgium at 63 in the official ICC T20i rankings. This series is being organized following the ICC T20I rules and guidelines and the points collected in this series will also be added to the ICC T20 rankings.

Currently, the Czech Republic is ranked 54, Luxembourg 58 and Belgium 63 according to ICC rankings.

The Czech Republic and Belgium had already started the T10 series in association with European Cricket Network and Dream11 which is still running and this format is getting a lot of love from cricket fans as well.

The schedule and other details of the Luxembourg T20I Trophy have not been announced yet but it is expected that all the details of this league will be announced soon.
