4. Caribbean Premier League
The Caribbean Premier League also known as CPL is a T20 cricket tournament held in the West Indies.
It was started in 2013 and replaced the Caribbean T20 as the premier T20 competition in the West Indies.
This league is sponsored by Hero MotoCorp and officially named as the Hero CPL.
The inaugural tournament was won by the Jamaica Tallawahs who defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final.
CPL is played between six teams and it runs in the group stage and a knockout stage.
The Caribbean Premier League’s present salary cap is US$1,000,000 per season.
CPL T20 was started in 2013 and the inaugural season was won by Jamaica Tallawahs by defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors in Finals.
This league consists of 6 teams and those are Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Jamaica Tallawahs, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots, St. Lucia Zouks and Trinbago Knight Riders.
Winners of the CPL seasons are Jamaica Tallawahs (2013,2016),Barbados Tridents (2014,2019) and Trinbago Knight Riders in (2015,2017,2018).
Trinbago Knight Riders is the most successful CPL team as they have won the title three times while Chris Gayle and Dwayne bravo lead the Most Runs and Wickets figures respectively.
CPL also features players from almost every country and it is always a treat to watch the big hitters at Caribbean grounds.
