After giving financial help to ‘Prime Minister Cares Fund’ and Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund, now the captain of Indian cricket team Virat Kohli along with his actress wife Anushka Sharma has also come forward for Mumbai Police welfare.
Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh said on Saturday that the celebrity couple has contributed Rs five lakh each.
Parambir Singh, The Commissioner of Police, Mumbai tweeted from his official handle,
‘Thank you Kohli and Anushka for contributing Rs.5 lakh each for the welfare of Mumbai Policemen. Your contribution will help Mumbai Police in the fight against Coronavirus.

Mumbai is among the worst affected cities in India due to the Coronavirus. The total number of cases of Coronavirus in Maharashtra has reached the 19,000 mark by Saturday evening.
In the country the lockdown has entered the third stage when a few restrictions are lifted by the state government according to the zones.
