Priyam Garg is an Indian cricketer. He is a right handed batter and Right arm Medium Fast bowler. He made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 19 September 2018 and his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 1 November 2018.

He was named as the Captain of India’s Squad for the 2020 U-19 world Cup, in Dec 2019. He is a talented batsmen who had made his T20 debut for Uttar Pradesh during the 2018-19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

1.He used to watch cricket matches at ‘Paan Shop’ during childhood days as he belongs to a weaker family who couldn’t afford a TV at that time.

2.His Mother passed away in 2011 due to a terminal illness. He wanted to quit cricket at that time but his father supported and motivated him to continue the game

3.Garg was initially a regular fast bowler but his coach advised him to focus more on batting.

4.He admires Suresh Raina very much. Raina trained him when he was selected in the UP team.

5.He made a century in his debut match in Ranji Trophy against Goa.

6.He considers the Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar as his Idol.
Once in an Interview, he said –

Whatever I am today is because of Sachin Tendulkar. Had I not seen him play, I wouldn’t have come this far. I grew up watching him. Before every match, I think of Sachin. That gives me the courage and strength to score runs. Even when I used to play with the tennis ball in local tournaments. I always tried to copy Sachin Paaji’s strokes. My dream is to meet Sachin Tendulkar and take tips from him and wear the blue colours of team India one day.
