Namibia and Uganda locked horns with each other in the inaugural game of the three matches T20I series on Saturday April 03 2021 at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek in which Namibia defeated their opponent Uganda by 7 wickets while chasing the target of 134 which looked a bit easy to achieve considering the strength of Namibian cricketers. 

Uganda, after winning the toss on Saturday opted to bat first and got a fiery start by the opening batsman Roger Mukasa who Quick fired 26 runs off just 23 balls with the help of three fours and a six but experienced Ben Shikongo got him in the sixth over of the innings. After that with the help of 38, 35 & 23 runs by Hamu Kayondo, debutant Ronak Patel & Riazat Ali Shah respectively Uganda managed to put up a total of 134 runs at the loss of five wicket which looked at least 40 runs short from the very beginning. 

Ben Shikongo got two wickets while Jan Frylinck, Bernard Scholtz and debutant Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton got one wicket each. 

While chasing, Namibia lost two early wickets as John Kotze and Craig Williams departs early scoring just three runs each but the all time consistent performer from associate nation Gerhard Erasmus smashed 62 runs off just 36 balls with the help of five fours and four whopping sixes which made sure that Namibia will win this inaugural encounter. He also completed 1000+ runs in T20I in a blistering style while Debutant Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton (18) & Michiel Du Preez (25) gave good support to him. 

Now, the next match of the series is scheduled to play on Monday April 05 2021 at the same venue which is going to be another cracker when these two associate nations will face each other. Uganda might look to bounce back strongly to win the next game and level the series while Namibia will be looking to win the series by defeating the opponent in another game.
