Graeme Smith is remembered as one of the best captains South Africa has ever produced. He wasn’t considered to be a T20s batsmen proved everyone wrong by ruling over the T20I ranking for almost two years
Back then when less T20Is were played, Graeme Smith was the most consistent batsman. He scored 61 runs in his first T20I in 2005 and continued his good form in 2006 as well which helped him to reach to No. 1 in the T20I rankings.
The South African skipper scored 982 at an average of 31.7 in 33 innings with a strike rate of 127.5 which is impressive considering his nature of playing cricket.
