Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) , owned by Shahrukh Khan, wants to invest in The Hundred of England. The England newspaper has revealed this.
The owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (Shah Rukh Khan and others) want to invest in the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) new tournament ‘The Hundred’.
The Telegraph newspaper reported that KKR is set to invest in a 100-ball competition owned by Shah Rukh Khan. The competition was to begin in July this year but has been postponed to next year due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

KKR owners also have a stake in the Caribbean Premier League to be held in the West Indies. KKR bought Trinidad franchise in 2015.
They also had acquired a third team, the Cape Town franchise in Cricket South Africa’s Global T20 league which however did not see the light of the day and was cancelled in 2017.
Investing in the Hundred would mean that the company would affirm to their plans of seeking opportunities to “invest in cricket globally.”
Last week, the ECB postponed the first edition of The Hundred for next year. Its first season was to begin in July this year.
The cricket season in England was to begin from April 2, but given the current circumstances, it can be said that it will not be done before July.
