Indian Women’s Test and ODI Captain – Mithali RajΒ
Mithali Dorai Raj is an Indian cricketer and the captain of the Indian women’s national cricket team in Test and ODI Format. A right-handed opening batter, she is often regarded as India’s greatest female batter.
She became the Captain of the side in 2015.Β
Mithali is the only player to have captained India in more than one World Cup final, during 2015 and 2017. She made her Test debut in the 2001β02 season against South Africa at Lucknow and became the Captain of Test side in 2014.
She is by far the most successful batswoman for Indian women’s cricket team who have played for over 15 years.
In September 2019, Mithali retired from T20I Cricket and she dreams to bring the World Cup to her country by 2021.
Indian Women’s T20 International Captain – Harmanpreet Kaur
Harmanpreet Kaur is an Indian women’s cricketer. She plays as an all-rounder for the Indian women’s cricket team and leads the Indian women’s team in T20 International format. She was awarded the prestigious Arjuna Award for Cricket in the year 2017 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.Β
She is a Right handed batter and Right arm off-break bowler. Harman made her international ODI debut on March 7, 2009 against Pakistan and T20 International debut on June 11, 2009 against England.Β
She has started her domestic career with Punjab Women’s team and later on shifted to Railway’s Women’s team. She is a successful all-rounder who is currently the backbone of Indian women’s cricket team.Β
In November 2018, Harman was named in Sydney Thunder’s squad for the 2018β19 Women’s Big Bash League season. She also plays in the Women’s T-20 IPL Challenge for Supernovas.Β
Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur, both are senior Players of Indian women’s Cricket Team and they are currently handling the Team. They are doing very well as Indian Women’s Cricket Team is dominating in the International Cricket and their eye is on to win 2021 World Cup.Β
