Eng vs Ire: England team announced squad for ODI series against Ireland, Topley returned after 4 years

The England Cricket Board has announced the 14 Man Squad for the ODI series against Ireland this month.  

 

The squad was announced on Monday, excluding World Cup Star All-rounder Ben Stokes.  

 

He has been rested for the series and at the same time, Reece Topley has returned to the ODI team after four years.  

 

On Monday, England Cricket Team selector James Taylor announced the squad for the three ODI series to be played against Ireland.  

 

 

 

A few days ago, a list of potential players for training for the ODI series was released by England. The 14-member squad has been selected from among the potential players.  

 

The last match of the three-Test series being played against the West Indies is currently being played in Manchester which will end on July 28.  

 

Reece Topley returns after 4 years

 

Reece Topley, who was part of the England team in the 2016 World Cup, has returned to the team after four years.  

 

The bowler, who has played 10 ODIs for England, has taken a total of 16 wickets. In his last ODI against South Africa played on 14 February 2016, he had taken 3 wickets in 7 overs.  

 

England’s 14-man Squad:

 

Eoin Morgan (captain), Moeen Ali, Johnny Bairstow, Tom Banton, Sam Billings, Tom Curran, Liam Dawson, Joe Denley, Saqib Mahmood, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Reece Topley, James Vince, David Willey  

 

England will play against Pakistan after this ODI series with Ireland:

 

England will play the Test and T20 series against Pakistan immediately after the three-match ODI series against Ireland from 30 July to 4 August.  

 

The first Test match of the three-match series will be played between the two countries from 5 August.
