Colonial Regional Super50 Cup 2021 (West Indies ODD): Full Fixture, Squads, League Format, Teams, Venue, Timings and Live Streaming Details

Colonial Regional Super50 Cup is set to commence from 07th February 2021 when the Leewards Hurricanes & Windwards Volcanoes will lock horns with each other in the inaugural match at the Coolidge Cricket Ground. Recently Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced that the Domestic Cricket will return to the Caribbean soil after almost a year due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the world. The only league that had been organised by CWI was Caribbean Premier League recently in August which was successful as a trail that the officials can now go for their regular cricket Schedules by following all the safety protocols.

SIX main teams are set to face off each other on a round-robin basis with the top four teams qualifying for the semi-finals and the opportunity to reach the finals. All the scheduled matches will be played at Antigua’s two international cricket venues – the Coolidge Cricket Ground and the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. There will be a total of 13 matches at Coolidge Cricket Ground including the semi-finals and final while other six matches will be at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

West Indies ODI captain, Kieron Pollard said:

“It is very good that cricket is coming back to the Caribbean Soil.. players will get the opportunity to showcase their skills and entertain our fans. It has been a trying 2020 for cricketers and the whole Caribbean, so it is really good that we have the CG Insurance Super50 Cup being played at this time and hopefully it can unearth some new talent.”

There are several Marquee players who are set to play for the different teams like the CWIs white ball skipper, Kieran Pollard will be with the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force while Test captain Jason Holder will be in charge of the Barbados Pride. Roston Chase will be associated with the Barbados Pride, Shimron Hetmyer (Guyana Jaguars), Sheldon Cottrell (Jamaica Scorpions), Hayden Walsh Jr (Leeward Islands Hurricanes), Nicholas Pooran (Trinidad and Tobago Red Force) and Andre Fletcher will play for the Windward Islands Volcanoes.
