The Australian Women’s team, which won the last T20 Women’s World Cup, is ready to play cricket once again.
Australian team will host New Zealand and India ahead of next year’s ODI World Cup.
The Australian team has not played a match since winning the title on March 8 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Lockdown caused by the Covid-19 epidemic is the main reason behind this.
Cricket Australia on Thursday announced a three-match T20 series against New Zealand and three ODIs thereafter in late September.
This ODI series will be important for both teams ahead of the 50-over World Cup in New Zealand in February 2021.
Both Australia Women’s and New Zealand have already qualified for the tournament.

While all three T20s will be played in North Sydney, ODIs will be held in Townsville, Cairns and Gold Coast.
Cricket Australia CEO Kevin Robertes said that the highlight of this summer will be the return of the Australian women’s team, apart from the Border-Gavaskar series.
Apart from the series against New Zealand, Australia will host India for the three-match ODI series in January 2021.
India has also qualified for this much awaited World Cup.
They lost to Australia in the T20 World Cup final.
Starting on January 22, the series will be played in Canberra, St Kilda and Hobart.
Australia will make their World Cup debut on 7 February against defending champions England.
