The Governing Council of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to hold the IPL 2020 from September 19 to November 10 in a meeting on Sunday.
A senior BCCI official told the news agency that the tournament will have 10 double headers i.e. 2-2 matches in a day.
The evening matches will start half an hour before the old schedule i.e. 7.30 PM and The afternoon matches will take place from 3.30 pm.
Also, Chinese mobile company Vivo will continue to be the title sponsor of the IPL 2020.
November 10 is Tuesday so this will be the first time in the history of IPL, when the finals will be played on Week-Day.
The official said that this time due to Covid-19, the tournament will be played in a bio-secure environment.
Many guidelines have to be kept in mind. Due to this the tournament has been extended two days ahead.

Will consult ECB about the entry of fans in IPL 2020
On the question of entry of fans, the official said,
“It would be great to allow some spectators in the league. At the moment, for us, the safety of others, including the players, is the priority. The UAE Cricket Board will talk to the ECB about the entry of fans, only after that some decision will be taken”
Clearance from sports ministry
On the question of getting approval from the government, he said,
“Sports Ministry has got approval for IPL. We hope to get approval from another ministry (Home and Foreign) soon”

Vivo gives Rs 440 crore every year to IPL
Mobile company Vivo is the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which pays Rs 440 crore every year to the board as a contract.
IPL’s 5-year contract with the company will end in 2022. Recently, the Indian government has banned 59 apps including Tik Tok, UC Browser due to security after a dispute with China.
Only 24 players will be with each team in IPL 2020
The IPL Governing Council has allowed each team to carry only 24 players due to Coronavirus.
The first franchise was allowed to have 25 players. Unlimited Corona Substitute is also approved in the tournament which means that if a player turns out to be Corona positive during the tournament, then the team will be able to replace him with another player.
BCCI issues guidelines for domestic cricket
BCCI has issued the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guidelines for the return of domestic cricket in the country.
According to the 100-page guidelines, players must sign a consent form before starting training.
Along with this, the domestic team will also have to take permission from the local administration and health department for training.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Health Emergency can also accompany the team.
According to this, staff members above 60 years of age will not be able to participate in training.
It also has coaches, managers and doctors. In this context, Arun Lal (65) will not be able to be the coach of Bengal and former Australian cricketer Dave Whitmore Baroda.
Players will not be able to break Bio Secure Protocol
According to the BCCI Guidelines, the players will have 4 Corona Tests in 14 days in the IPL.
Apart from this, there will be no more than 15 players in the dressing room. Not only the players, but their wife, girlfriends and franchise honors will also have to follow the Bio Secure protocol.
Under no circumstances will it be allowed to break. Once in the biosecure bubble, no one will be able to go out of it and join the team again.
It will be easy to keep an eye on fixing in IPL 2020
Recently, BCCI’s Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) head Ajit Singh had said that there is no need to take tension about the corruption in IPL.
This time the league is being held in only three places, so it will be easier to keep an eye on things like match fixing.
The IPL matches will be held in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the UAE, while India has 8 Venues.
