Former Indian Cricketer Akash Chopra has selected his all-time CPL XI in which he included two Pakistani players too.
West Indies and other young cricketers get a chance to play and prove their talent in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for the last several years.
The eighth season of CPL will begin on August 18 and will end on September 10. This time all the matches of CPL will be played in Trinidad and Tobago.
There is a lot of discussion about this league and before it starts, former Indian cricketer Akash Chopra has selected his all-time (Caribbean Premier League) CPL XI.
Akash Chopra has included Chris Gayle and Colin Munro as openers in his team, while he has named Nicholas Pooran in the team to bat at number three.
These three players have an amazing record in CPL. Gayle has scored 2354 runs in 76 matches of this league at a strike rate of 133.4 and an average of 39.2 while Munro has scored 1546 runs in 46 matches.
At the same time, Pooran has scored 1036 runs in 60 matches at a strike rate of 154.1
Akash Chopra has selected Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik for number four and Kieron Pollard for the number five while selecting the team on his YouTube channel.
He named two tremendous all-rounders in his team as Andre Russell and Dwayne Bravo.
He also selected Sunil Narine as the spinner in the team. Talking about the fast bowler, he chose Sheldon Cottrell, Sohail Tanvir of Pakistan and Krishmar Santokie.
