IPL 2020 may start in Bangalore and Chennai from 26 September according to the reports from BCCI

The start of IPL 2020 has been postponed due to Covid-19 for the last several months, which should have started on March 28.

The BCCI postponed the event till April 15, but later on it has been postponed indefinitely due to non-recovery of conditions.

After which the BCCI began to consider all aspects so that the league can be organized in any way.

The biggest problem in starting the IPL 2020 is that no decision has yet been taken on the world cup T20.

However, BCCI President Saurabh Ganguly said a few days ago that we are considering all the aspects that can lead to the tournament as soon as possible.

Now it is coming to light that from 26 September, the IPL could be started in South India, which was to start from Mumbai earlier.

According to the Mumbai Mirror,

“IPL 2020 will be between September-end and November-start, more specifically it could be from September 26 to November 8. These dates are subject to the expected postponement/cancellation of the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia,”

In the months of September to November, monsoon does not have much effect in South India especially in Bangalore and Chennai due to which BCCI can start IPL from these venues.

It was decided to start IPL 2020 from Mumbai earlier but due to the terrible transition of Covid-19, it is not possible to be held in Mumbai at present.
