ICC meeting postponed once again, T20 World Cup will now be decided next month

The ICC meeting in Dubai has been postponed once again which was scheduled to happen today.

ICC has decided to hold the meeting next month in which a decision will also be taken later on the T20 World Cup.

These ICC meetings are held every year at the Dubai Headquarters of the ICC because the entire cricket season is decided in it.

The meeting was earlier scheduled to be held on May 28 but was postponed until June 10 due to the issue of breach of confidentiality.

According to reports, the issue ended after an independent inquiry was formed on the issue.

Board members had raised the issue that the organization’s internal affairs secrecy had been breached.

Earlier on Tuesday, the ICC had banned the use of saliva to shine the ball, confirming the interim changes due to covid-19.

Apart from this, the change of player was also approved after showing the signs of Covid-19 in Test matches.

BCCI has agreed to play T20 and ODI series in Sri Lanka in August amidst Covid-19

However, the order to change the player will only apply to the proposed three-Test series between the West Indies and England starting in July.

Along with this, additional DRS review has also been approved in every innings.

Now every team will be able to take three reviews in every innings in Test and two reviews in limited overs cricket.

This decision has been taken keeping in mind that in the current situation there may come occasions when less experienced umpires are serving.
