Fresh Date of Solidarity Cup 3T announced by the South Africa Cricket

South Africa Cricket has announced a new date for Solidarity Cup 3T, according to which Solidarity Cup 3T will now be played on 18 July 2020 on Nelson Mandela International Day.

The Solidarity Cup is a very new form of 3T Cricket that will be played for the first time in South Africa to raise funds to help people suffering from Covid-19.

Earlier this one-day match was to be played on 27 June but the South Africa board postponed it due to some reasons.

But now the revised date of this match has been announced, which has once again raised the interest of cricket fans as South Africa international cricket players are participating in this match.

The match details remain the same with SuperSport Park as the hosting venue and the starting time being 11:00 (SAST).

The match will also still be broadcast live on SuperSportTV 2, with the team sheets not undergoing any changes.

3 Teams are Participating in Solidarity Cup 3T:

The three teams competing for the Solidarity Cup are the Eagles captained by AB de Villiers and sponsored by Takealot, Kingfishers captained by Kagiso Rabada and sponsored by OUTsurance and the Kites captained by Quinton de Kock.

Rules and Regulations

  • A Match between 3 teams of 8 Players Each
  • 36 Overs in two halves of 18 overs
  • One innings of 12 overs each per team.
  • Bat and bowl to one Opponent in each half for 6 overs.
  • After 7th Wicket, the last batter stands alone
  • Maximum 3 overs per bowler to either Opponent
  • Most runs wins Gold, 2nd Silver and 3rd Bronze
