1.Inside Edge (Amazon Prime) 

Inside Edge is an Indian web series based on a fictional T20 cricket team, Mumbai Mavericks that plays in the Power-Play League (based on Indian Premier League). This is Amazon Prime Video’s first Indian original series which premiered on 10 July 2017. This Web series features some big celebrities like Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chada, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Tanuj Virwani and Angad Bedi. The first season premiered in July 2017 and has been positively received by critics and audience and nominated for Best Drama series at 46th International Emmy Awards. It is the best web series to watch during the lockdown if you are missing the start of IPL 2020 badly. The second season of the series premiered on December 6, 2019 worldwide.

2.Selection Day (Netflix) 

Selection Day is another Indian Netflix Original Sports web series, based on Aravind Adiga’s 2016 novel of the same name. This series is Produced by Anil Kapoor and Anand Tucker and features Mohammad Samad, Yash Dholye, Karanvir Malhotra, Rajesh Tailang, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ratna Pathak Shah, Shiv Pandit, Parul Gulati and Akshay Oberoi. 

This series is based on the life of two brothers Radha and Manju who are raised by their cricket obsessed father and meet their rival Javed. The first six episodes of Selection Day premiered on 28 December 2018 and Part 2, consisting of another set of six episodes, premiered on 19 April 2019. Some reports said that a second season is reportedly in active development.

3.The Test: A new Era For Australia’s Team (Amazing Prime Video) 

The Test is a 2020 Australian English-language documentary-series, produced as an Original for Amazon Prime Video. This documentary-series was also co-produced by Cricket Australia. This Web series was streamed on Amazon Prime on 12 March 2020 and consists of 8 episodes. The documentary-series talks about the Australia men’s cricket team’s path to redemption under the joint effort and guidance of Justin Langar who is currently Head coach of the Team and captaincy of Tim Paine. 

It tells us about the 18 months of Australian team which went through a rough phase and transition since the outbreak of the Australian ball-tampering scandal which came out in March 2018.

This Web series is directed by Adrian Brown starring Tim Paine, Steve Smith, David Warner, Justin Langer, Virat Kohli, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, Marnus Labuschagne, Jhye Richardson, Usman Khawaja, Brad Haddin, Aaron Finch, Ben Stokes, Peter Siddle, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Shaun Marsh, Graeme Hick, Marcus Stoinis and Ricky Ponting.

4.Breakfast With Champions (YouTube Originals) 

Gaurav Kapoor, the Main host and creator of the ‘Breakfast with Champions’ is an Indian actor and television presenter known for being the host of the pre-match Indian Premier League show, Extraaa Innings T20.

In March 2017, He started this web series called ‘Breakfast with Champions’ where he interviews and interacts with cricketers and other sports athletes. Cricket Fever: Mumbai Indians is a Indian sports documentary web series that tells us about the struggle, dedication and aggression shown by the 2018 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, the Mumbai Indians, as they seek to defend their 2017 championship. This Web series was produced by Condé Nast Entertainment and released worldwide on Netflix on 1st March 2019. Cricket Fever is the first international series produced by Condé Nast Entertainment, and the first Indian sports documentary on Netflix.

7.Roar Of The Lions (Hot star) 

Roar of The Lion is an Indian multilingual documentary drama web series produced by Kabir Khan, starring One of the most successful Captain of Indian Cricket Team MS Dhoni. The series ran towards the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who returned to the 2018 edition of the IPL after serving a two-year ban for allegedly being involved in the 2013 spot-fixing scandal. The distribution rights of the documentary were acquired by the digital platform Hotstar, and it got released on the platform under the brand of Hotstar Specials on 20 March 2019.
